I'm not entirely sure what you're asking. Do you mean how much it would cost to host a website (i.e. hosting space, domain name, databases, server-side scripting, etc). Or are you asking how much it would cost for someone to code a website for you?

For example, my own site costs me £55 per year for hosting and with that I get php, 10 MySQL databases, 200 Mb web space, 100 POP3 Email Accounts, bandwidth of 4000 Mb per month, 10 subd-domains and 10 domains (if I had 10 domain names of course) amongst other things... On top of that I pay £30 every two years for my domain name.

If you're asking about development costs it entirely depends on your requirements. My site has a custom content management system so authors can edit their own content within the browser. It took me some time to build everything for my site, and from my experiences in the industry I know it would have cost a couple of thousand pounds to have it built for me. However, a small and simple website could be knocked up in a few hours and therefore would not cost that much.

Without knowing what exactly you want it's hard to offer much advice.

Dunno if any of this has helped!
