well I believe my bumper sticker on my car says it best..."fuck Censorship"... I am a firm believer in the abolition of censorship... Censoring things is only a way of giving a parents not to monitor their kids themselves... Angry housewives got against music people cause they couldnt monitor any of the stuff going on in their houses...
But thats all besides the point... I believe that yes censorship is "neccesary" in some instances.. but should be user defined... I dont like the idea of someone else deciding what i can and cant hear... in this world today we've become so worried about what people think that we cant do anything anymore... some land of the free this is eh?
Oh and when i know that there is a cut version or a "revised" version.. it always pisses me off.. ie: House of 1000 corpses.. that movie took forever to come out and was cut up really bad.... Another instance...i was going to Ozzfest and as most of you know i am a huge Marilyn Manson fan... well the venue decided that they didnt want him here because of what he had to say in his music...
Free speach isn't a selective freedom... Just because you dont like it doesnt mean that its wrong... I dont like *nsync but they arent censored to comfort me are they?? Well i think i have expressed my views... if anyone wants to discuss i am always up for this subject
