The winners are:
Max Payne, Tommy Verceti, Gordon Freeman, Solid Snake, 007 and Lara Croft. Max, Verceti, 007 and Lara cheat because i've no idea who the other person is.
Gordon is cooler than the Chief because... he isn't. The Chief is pratically the same guy who appeared in: Wolfenstein 3D, Doom, Quake and all the other "Square Jawed boring Marine guy kills people in FPS environment" games. Its the form of "cool" thats been done so many times that its no longer "cool". Freeman wins because he's different. Ginger Goatee, Jam Jar Glasses and all.
Snake has a far more interesting past that Sam, who's just generic Tom Clancy "ex special service" guy or whatever. Plus, he's simply the original and best.
