phew... I'm finally back. I ran into a little trouble after I took the plunge and decided to install all my new PC stuff on the 1st... and then I had to Format on the 2nd, as I'd hoped to get some stability, but it seems that having a Radeon 9800 Pro in a cheapo PC Case isn't such a good idea (it'd be cooler if I had a mini volcano in there), so it still crashes after a rather pretty looking 20 minutes or so.
Aside from Formatting my C: drive (twice, at a bizarre 2 hours a go), my birthday activites were centered around a trip to London, specifically to see it from above on the London Eye (a big wheel type thingy). We ate at the KFC in Leicester Square and did a fair bit of tube hoping to see most of the sights... we were going to go into Tate Modern (because its free), but we didn't want to hit the rush hour traffic so I contented myself with walking under the giant inflatable statue guy (named "Blockhead") which is outside.
As for presents, I didn't really get that many... not that I've got all of them yet (and it is quality over quantity ^_^ ):
- Half-Life 2 (Pre-Order)
- Homeworld 2 (Pre-Order)
- Final Fantasy Origins (completeing my PS1 FF collection!)
- 6 Pairs of Socks ( and not even interesting socks :/ )
- 3 Books (Equal Rites, Witches Abroad and The Last Hero), all by Terry Pratchett (and part of the Discworld Series). The last one is particuarly cool, and has some wonderful illustrations.
Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets [DVD] (because HP is too cool... can't believe I have to wait until next summer for the next one!)
- Dido - No Angel (because I've had it for about 2 years and felt like owning a non mp3 version would be a good idea).
I did also get £80 though... perhaps i'll use that to replace this PC Case... (nearly enough to get one with somthing god damned stupid... like a strobe light and a window )
Finally, I'm just going to thank everyone who posted birthday wishes. As i'm so strange, I'm going to save this page and keep a copy on my PC, just like last year!
