The Flaming lips are, at the moment, more of a weird, experimental band. Wayne Coyne is crazy, at T in the Park he sung a song with a Nun Hand-Puppet and had lots of stage dancers dressed up as animals. And huge balloons. And since they filled in for The White Stripes, They all Dressed in Red And White, Sung happy birthday to Jack White and sung a song titled "Thank You Jack White For The Fibre-Optic Jesus that You Gave Me" lol.
They also have this old album called Zarieka or somethin like that, and it has 4 CD's, but each CD has the same songs, but each CD is different, One CD may be Vocals, the next Drums, the next Bass etc. You have to Play all 4 CD's on Seperate Stereos at the same time lol, I think that sounds like fun, but I can only get the CD through an expensive import...
But I don't tink they have a point in the music, they just wanna have fun and they know how to work an audience. Gotto See them this Novemebr
