me too... but probably in a more negative way: the legends games (and FF Adventure as well) weren't Final Fantasy Games at all. The 3 legends games are actually the first SaGa games (of the same series as the Romancing SaGas, SaGa Frontiers and Unlimited SaGa), whilst FF Adventure was actually Seiken Densetsu 1 (which also will shortly get a GBA release - called quite correctly "Sword of Mana" to fit in with the other English SD games [Secret of Mana, Legend of Mana] ) They were repackaged and retitled in game to market them on the back of the real Final Fantasy games that had actually been accepted in the west.

To me, FF Crystal Chronicles, regardless of whether it is a good game (and early indications are that, yes it is) is not a Final Fantasy. My problem is that its far more similar to the aforementioned Mana/Seiken Densetsu series. Its like Square-Enix have put in a few Crystals and Chocobos into a new Mana game to:
1. Get more people to buy it (If you re-brand nearly any game on the planet as "Final Fantasy Somthing or Rather", it'll sell another 1 Million Copies to stupid saps - not unlike myself - who must have every game with FF in the name)
2. To appease Nintendo, by giving them the sure fire hit that will seal the friendship between the two companies, and reassure them that they're not simply after the right to develop on a handheld (which they are - when SE announce more than a solitary brand-name game on the gamecube, i'll believe that they are actually interested in developing games for it.)

Well, thats buisness I guess.

edit2: go back to FF Tactics if you possibly can. I'm not requesting that you play one of the true top 3 FF games ever... i'm ordering you to! (and hey... i moderate this section of the forum, so I can order people about a bit if i want )
