Enter the Darkness
Night's perils,
light's ferals
flee from the canine
cloaked in night's apparel,
shadow snipers pierce us with darkness arrows,
the candle's light my only means of sight
when the time is right
when the sky of lights
dampened by the black of night
hampered by the lack of sight
the silence is menacing,
the good in the world is grimacing
while evil runs its course,
the luminescence of the moon glimmers
praising its source
while the stars converse amongst themselves
‘til daylight will leave their voices hoarse.
The cool serenity invades my soul with every passing moment-
I do my best to channel and hone it;
the eve leaves many a being wandering like forsaken ghouls
upon this Earth,
until the eventual passing of noon
which brings rebirth;
Darkness may hide numerous dangers that go untold
but the beauty of night is surely a sight to behold.
