Either his stomach will grunt or later in the game he'll just walk back. It is kind of impossible to walk through that road, and I do not understand why. I know what your talking about. I think its because its the bit where you come from when you get out of the water with Wakka and are heading into Besaid for the first time, you cant go through there i'm guessing coz theres no point.
