All the things you mentioned are among the reasons I'm not fond of summertime at all. The fact days are longer too, doesn't make me happy. I like when it gets darker around 5 pm. And, even if Rome is not Dubai, here is pretty hot as well. 40° C or more ain't that funny to be around, with sun burning your head and no breeze at all >.< I assure you my dislike is very "unpopular" around here too. People like summertime, crowded beaches etc.. The fact I don't doesn't mean I don't like anything about summer, but having to choose a more comfortable season, I'd say Fall. I like Winter's atmosphere too.
