The beat is important yes but I could make a good beat tapping on the stearing wheel of my car (If I had one

) . I look more for vocal TALENT which is much harder to come by than a guy who can play with some dials on a machine and make a good beat. Dj's are a dime a dozen..good singers are priceless. And from what ive heard of J-Rock/J-Pop (Havent heard a whole lot though) theyre arent a whole lot of good singers in it. But then again like I said how good something is , is in the eye (Or in this case Ear) of the beholder
