Measue: Chi made a deal with the gods he wanted power the gods told him in order to obtain this power you must sacrifice something dear and keep something pure so he did he sacrificed his family.

Measue: yes all but one member his youngest child for you see the child was pure not a week old yet. the gods were apeased ,but instead of impowering him the gods impowered the child. Chi was furious but could do nothing all he could do was watch as the child grew. Chi was not stupid he began to manipulate his child and began to make the child use its powers to help him gain control in return the child was kept close to him until the child wanted to break free. Once the child began to gain a sense of independents he had the child killed.
Fallen: he killed his own flesh and blood for power!
