Sorry if I ask this stupid question... are you only talking about main characters in anime or about characters in general? From what I've read, it seems you're only talking about main characters, but I wasn't sure...
Trunks, I don't see Vegeta as a positive character... He's terribly selfish and he's got a bad attitude. I'm sure this is enough to not make of him a good example of positive hero!
