The story wasn't that hard to understand I thought it had a better story than MGS1. MGS1 had a more of an emphasis on genes that what MGS2 did and MGS2 has a superior story line and gamplay to most other games on any console in my opinion because it empahises not on content but depth in both story line and gameplay to make it feel as realisitic (although we don't see huge metal gears walking around in real life) as possible in the way the enemy AI reacts and general gameplay and the emotions of people in the story line.
