Strange, as I have gotten older over the years I have increasingly listened to such bands as their form of metal is more mature and requiring of increased musicianship, than some of the more mainstream bands here in the U.S. Interesting phenomenon. I find black metal and related genres and their more classical oriented sections in their song satisfying for when i need to relax myself. To me bands like Hatebreed or Slipknot are indications of a more youthful mind in a lot of instances. Anyways I love all kinds of metal. Check this site out guys:

I don't agree with all of their opinions(especially some of their reviews on some of my fav albums by certain bands i happen to think are incredible and classic and many other avid listeners would agree
) but it's one of the most extensive looks at metal I've ever seen! Almost more than I wanted to know
