So sorry for double posting (it won't happen again!) but I had just finished watching Ringu and I haven't seen the American version yet. Here are my opinions:

To me, it's not scary at all. O_o;;; It's just suspenseful and uneasy...the only thing that surprised me is when

but that's about it. There are many questions that are unanswered, so it makes the movie a bit confusing. Overall, it's pretty good though.

Red: I found out that the first book Ringu is going to be translated and released in the US in April.

Since there are sequels, here are the names:

2) Spiral
3) Loop
4) Birthday (this final book will explain everything going through the series)

I'm not sure if the other sequels will be translated into English, but they just might.
