Can anyone explain this to me?
Hi, I know this will seem like somewhat of a waste of a thread (and I promise it won't happen again!) but I have no other idea on how I can get the answer to my query.
What does the phrase 'everything is gravy' mean, and how does it originate?
It's definitely not a Liverpudlian expression, however I do assume that it means somethingl like 'everything is good'. I'm just wondering how 'gravy' relates to 'good'.
Can anyone shed any light for me? Thanks in advance my multi-national friends!
