I think Vice City feels smaller because of the helicopters. When we're able to soar over the city and look down on it, it doesn't seem very big at all. But, like you said, it does take awhile to get around while driving. Think about this- how would GTA3 feel if we could fly over it? It would probably be alot smaller, and Vice City has much more in the way of alleys and stuff. Before you get it memorized, the vague maps can be a problem. I wished so many times that they'd label all the police stations, hospitals, and other important areas on there.
