Thanks for the help, S. That's pretty strange about your DVD player. When I play DVDs in mine, the sound is fine! I'm just a bit worried about my Japanese PS2 now. I have tons of Japanese DVDs but I can't hear a thing when I pop it in. I'll try your suggestion, but if it doesn't work for me.....I guess I'll just have to search for a Japanese DVD player.
