I just bought Silent Hill 2 Greatest Hits. And its excellent. Yes you can play as Maria in this version of the game, but when I started playing that section the day I bought the game, it told me that I shouldn't as it contains major spoilers and I should finish the main game first. So I havn't really tried those. But get the Greatest Hits yo. Seriously.
