I'm trying to get the last item to unlock it and I've been doin the cactar side quest.

I'm up to the second to last one and it says he's out to a journey. I checked and the book tells me he's onboard the ship when you go out to it's deck. HE'S NOT THERE!!!!
Did my game f%$^ up or what. I don't understand!
I beat the game already but I just play it again just for the sidequests.

help!
