I have yet to hear of any such complaints or have I encountered any myself. The adaptor is really easy to setup and I have played 5 games online now and each one has worked great. The early days of socom where a little choppy cause one of their servers was not setup properly and it caused a lot of lag but I have not seen any major problems you talked about since the 3rd day i played it.

Harry scored it a 9 out of 10 here at PS2Fantasy and my own review is pritty much simular to his in scores. The best part of the game is though that the mic works in single player too and makes a great game feature. plus the single play missions are rather tough and require a little skill to complete each mission.

Yes it is worth it.
