assorted FF (11 - 13) and KH (Europe) News
Just a summary of the recent stuff that doesn't really require a seperate thread:
FFXI - 2 new servers (Pandemona and Garadua - I think) were added, and there was the first ever wedding this week.
The PC version is due out in japan on the 6th, and the only version that is almost certain to get out of Japan is the PC one (due to the PS2 Hard drive and worries that it won't sell).
A Benchmarking utility for the PC is available from: https://www.playonline.com/ff11win/wina2.html (click the bottom left button for the .zip file) - which will allow you to work out whether you'll be able to play the game, and get a little idea of what it looks like.
Benchmark scores mean:
less than 1500: won;'t run very well at all
1500~3000: you can run it using the minimum setting...
3000~4000: you can run it without stuttering...
more than 4000: you are running above the recommanded spec... (yay!)
Edit: My PC scored 2018 btw.
FFXII - confirmed for a 2003 release, if nothing else.
FFXIII - Confirmed as in development, though not for definate on the PS2....
There shall be another online RPG as well...
Kingdom Hearts - https://www.kingdom-hearts.com/index.htm - offical European website is up, release date is "Novemeber 2002"
Edit: Their "Release Dates" page has been updated, and the date given is November 15th for Europe, November 22nd for Australia/New Zealand.
and finally, Square-Europe were doing a Survey last week in which they asked 5 rather un-penetrating questions. (what is you email? what is you gender? what is the average air-velocity of an unladen swallow?) - with this information they may have intended to work out whether its worth releaseing more back-catalouge games perhaps?
