I got some information regarding the live-action Akira, from AnimeNation. They said that this American live action re-make of Akira is going to be directed by Stephen Norrington, the guy who directed Blade. Um.....that's it.  But, hey Blade was a good movie, so maybe this will be good too? Only time will tell....
