[Darkness 4 Hire]

This past week, I browsing at the lib at my college(GCC)when I stumbled across a rather intriguing book. It was entitled High Score: An Illustrative Guide to Video Game History.

This book had plenty of cool info, it talked about the very beginning of gaming to the very present we find ourselves in today. What really had me interested was the parts where they discussed about the companies and games that had some kind of influence on the video gaming industry.

However, as I was nearing the end, not one mention had been about Squaresoft or any of their games. Nowhere were they mentioned. I flipped through the Index of the book in hopes that I simply had skipped a part or something, but the results came up nada. What were these authors smoking?

So here's the (?): Do you think Square has had anything sort of impact on gaming during its existence? Anything that might have been worth mentioning in this book?
