I played a little of it, but even though I was using a fast connection at the time, It got pretty boring fairly quickly.
Renegade's problem isn't that its a bad game. It just suffers from the fact that Mods and games have been out for years that are far better than it. Had it been released about two years ago (it was delayed a little, but probably not that much) It would have been somthing to talk a little about. But I'd far rather play Tribes 2 for larger scale online FPS'ing with vehicles. (or UT, Q3, CS, or basically anything else...)
To be honest though, I'm not too keen on what Renegade sets out to do anyway. I prefer my maps "toight like a toiger" and claustrophobic to boot. How else am a supposed to kill things with a 28k modem?
