I like to be alone, because I'm a really selfish person, but sometimes I'm envious of the persons who can spend a lot of time with other people without feeling out of place. If you need to talk with someone, about your interests or about youself, you'll never be able to find anyone interested if you spend most of your time being alone and being happy with your loneliness. There's no need to say that I think this is what you deserve when you enjoy your selfishness, but still I think it's hard to cope with these opposite feelings.
