Ummm, a Catholic School is a regular school - the only difference is that only people who are Catholics go to it...
Anyway, I haven't worn a school uniform since 1991 when I left school (well, except maybe for fun every once in a while!).
I totally agree with the idea of a school uniform.
When I was at school we had P.E class (Phys. Ed, Gym Class, whatever you call it) and if you weren't wearing the likes of Nikes, Adidas or Reebok the other kids would make fun of you.
Now this was just for P.E.... Imagine what it would be like for the kids with poorer parents who couldn't afford all the expensive named brands if there was no uniform.... Young kids can be very cruel...
If everyone is wearing the same gear, then how can anyone make fun or bully other students for what they wear? Exactly, they can't.
Whilst it doesn't prevent bullying, it at least takes away one excuse for the bullies and if that saves one kid from having an unhappy school life then I say 'Hell Yeah to Uniforms!'
