Seeing as Cid Highwind is possibily my fave ff character of all time I'd have to say him. Why he is my fave? Well he had an interesting past the whole rocket ship tale was really moving showing he had some feeling under his rather tough nut attitude.
There was a Cid in FFX Artist, and he did have the airship. He was an Al Bhed uncle of Yuna and aprt from a couple of comical lines he wasnt all that great.
