Well, I'm sure that many people will be happy to hear that I've re-watched the first 4 episodes (with the Japanese audio, thankfully!) and I enjoyed it. At first, waaaay back then, I didn't like it as much (due to the awful dubbing) and I wasn't into mecha too much. But now, it actually is really good and I see now why everyone raves about it so much. However, the main character, Shinji-kun, kinda irks me a little, because he has this weird dilemma: *MAYBE SPOILERS?* He wants to prove to his father that he can do something, yet he is such a coward and runs away. His attitude to piloting the EVA is very irksome, because he's kinda acting like, "I don't want to do it, but since I have to do it, here I am." Don't get me wrong: I understand that he's still young and doesn't want to do this, and I'm sure he'll get better later on, but for the time being, he needs to get his act together. Sorry for ranting, but I just gotta let that out!
