The FCC (an appointed body, not an elected one) is the only reason (that and some baptist minister from the south) that censorships in radio and television oriented media was implemented in the first place.
Ratings are fine, but keeping things such as nudity, profanity, and violence out of completely video games (even ridiculous immature ones like topless volleyball and BMX bicycling or whatever) is against the whole FREE SPEECH thing in the constitution. It might not be to your tastes, but PERSONAL TASTES do not translate into right or wrong.
The only people complaining about even this are either kids whining because they can't get them yet, lazy parents who don't want to be bothered with learning what the hell the ratings system is, and zealoutrous, fundamentalist organizations ("Southern" church organizations, NOW) who want to force thier ways of life on everyone else. These people are not the majority, and I say props to the companies making these games for spitting in these organizations' faces.
