yeah I read that... the problem is that there is no such thing as a PCI GeForce3... notice how PCI cards only cover the MX ranges, of which there was no representation in the GeForce3 series... = bad news.
Told you PCI was crap.... I'd be inclined to say this however : Get a new AGP equiped motherboard and a cheapy AGP GeForce 3. That shouldn't be all that expensive. Though quite how you haven't got AGP is waaaayyyy beyond me. Is the US the PC buying 3rd-world or somthing?
Edit : No scrap that. Quite simply, its worth noting that the kind of PC that comes without no AGP slot, is going to have a crappy processor, motherboard RAM and the rest. All these would slow down my old Voodoo Banshee ^_^ - what are the specs of your PC... also whats the make of your Mobo?
