I hear this loads, and personally it seems to be an attempt to dodge criticsm leveled at FF in general (I live in the UK, so everyone is so anti-FF that you wanna just hit them ^_^), usually because people point to the movie as crap.

I thought it was a good movie though. I've coughed up movie for bigger crap (the Ali-G movie for starters ) and this is one of those things I actually wish i'd payed money to see (watched it round a friends.)

The problem is this: Its nothing special. Theres nothing bad about it at all, but the only thing that amazed me was the animation (I wanna play games that look like that ^_^). the majority of the games have many, many memorable parts, but FF : TSW seems to have none. Oh and the soundtrack sucked. If theres any reason to claim it is "not Final Fantasy" it would be the way that Square Pictures had no Squaresoft big-wigs as key figures : No Uematsu is just about as tragic as you can get ^_^

Oh and saying things are "Gay" is just soooooo lame. You must try harder ^_^
