I don't like the style either.
when I looked at it I thought it was a genre I don't like and I've never bought it.
Many people say it's good and Gally is a sort of cult-girl, like Lara Croft (with many differences...).
There's much violence in Battle Angel Alita, so I doubt you'd like it if it's not your thing...
