This is actually a better gesture to the fans then the last three live action RE movies. Here you can get the actual characters and not some random person trying to look like Leon Kennedy or Claire Redfield. You can do more in the realm of the game in CG and the fact it seems to be entirely done by Capcom themselves and not a movie studio means it will ACTUALLY stick to the game.
Personally, it has me excited. The last three RE movies are doing nothing but draining the good from the franchise with half-assed cash-in crap.
On that note though CG movies are overly produced nowadays but CG movies if you ask me fit a lot better when trying to do a movie based off a videogame. You can actually get things right down to characters, voice actors, and respect to the original material. Like I said, I’m excited I’ve been an RE fan since RE2 and I’m glad to see there’s a shimmer of hope for it in the context of a movie.
