Like Panuru said, Jeanne was created by Tanemura, Ariina. I saw the entire series a long time ago and I would say it's an okay series. The first half was really good, really intriguing, but near the end it started going downhill.

Many people have compared this series with Sailormoon and there are similarities between them (the major one being that both are "magical girls" series) but I feel that they are different in many ways. Since it's been a while, I don't quite remember, but I don't recall an "enemy of the week" theme in Jeanne unlike Sailormoon. Also, Jeanne deals with demons/devils and angels and there are many Christian/Christianity-themes in it while Sailormoon is more about love and friendship with fantasy-based sort of evil.

As for the main characters, oh my, Maron/Jeanne is much more level-headed and likeable (in the beginning at least) than Usagi/Serena/Sailor Moon. Usagi has always been too much of an airhead for my tastes, so Maron was refreshing to watch.

If you're simply interested in magical-girls series, then Jeanne would be a good one to watch.

Also, there's another one called Kaitou Saint Tail which is much older than Jeanne but the 2 are almost alike (girl transforms into thief and steals to help people, has a friend who is a nun, a boy whose father is a detective, etc.) with the exception that the characters are much younger and the animation isn't too great to look at. I have a sneaking suspicion that Tanemura-sensei was kinda influenced by it. I've never seen "Saint Tail" but if you're interested, you could check it out too.
