Faile is on a distinguished road
Man, I'd be lying to say I didn't believe in the power of so-called 'occult practitioning'. I was raised in a pagan household by my mother, so it's something that's always been around me. I remember various rituals taking place to mark occasions. It certainly happens less these days however, but I do believe in the various powers. Nothing too drastic though, I remain a committed agnostic, but this world is indeed a strange and beautiifully powerful place and there is some higher power at work, no doubt, and that is nature. Showing respect to that force is a very natural thing and perhaps something we should do more often, however I've yet to find a way through said occult practise that moves me enough to repeat it. I like to think the way I live my life is enough. I think the idea of magicks are a bit far fetched, certainly as some people see them. Hoping to wield them to obtain some easier way of achieving something for instance, will never benefit you.

I don't think I can give easy answers to whether I fully believe in various forms of divination and tarot etc, but I've certainly seen some accuracy in results. Again though, and perhaps because I'm a lazy person, I've not seen anything enough to move me to constantly seek these things out as an aid to my life.

Of more interest to me is the world of the supernatural. I'm a full believer in 'ghosts' and the world of spirit. I used to have a dream of becoming a ghostbuster, but I think I'm far too scared. I've certainly had various supernatural experiences throughout my life, most recently of which occured over the summer when I was lying in bed and felt a hand on my shoulder that caused my arm to go ice cold. It was pretty scary for a moment or two, but I've grown used to it. I've seen figures and 'shadow people' pretty much my whole life. I've certainly blocked it out in the past, but I'm starting to open back up to it a little, in the hope of displaying some level of mediumship in the future, something that has run in my family through my mothers side. I've received advice on blocking out the negative aspects of this skill, so I'm hoping that soon enough I'll be ready to open myself up to it all again, even if it does mean seeing scary things like ghosts and negative energies and whatever else this world has hidden. It's certainly as close as I get to having a faith of any kind.

I hope this makes sense!
