The US makes the "NAH" in Naruto sound more like "NAR" and the "ROO" sound more like "OOH." The proper way to say the Japanese way is "Nah-roo-toe" or "Nah-loo-toe" because the "R" in Japanese sounds more like an "L."

From the sound of it, the US dub is also a woman for Naruto's voice. And I agree with Scorp...the voice for Yahiko (even though it was a woman too) would've fit better. It's hard to find males to play young boy's or feminine male voices...because they have to be light sounding and delicate or youthful...and most men who've hit puberty would find it hard to do that type of voice...so I wouldn't be so hard on the fact that most male character's voice overs are female.
