I'm really looking forward to this. There's a very real chance that Howl's will get into mainstream cinemas: Diana Wynne Jones is a British Author and her books have been extra hyped up recently: a film adaptation of Howl's by the director of Spirited Away (which was placed 7th in a UK poll about "the UK's top 100 Cartoons" - you should have seen the stuff it beat... and the crap it was beaten by!) will have some genunine selling power in this country. I'd quite realistically go and see this movie twice if that happened: take my parents to see the dub in the cinema, take my anime loving friends to see the subtitled version at an arts cinema.

I'm particuarlly hyped because I finally found someone stocking Laputa and I watched that yesterday... I've now watched all the pitiful selection of Ghbili titles available in the UK (Mononoke, Kiki's Delivery Service, Spirited Away, Grave of the Fireflies, Castle in the Sky). They're all brilliant films and I want more!!! I wonder what the 6 'Extravaganza' films will be... Probably those five plus the Cat Returns if they're feeling stingy, but I'd love to see at least Mononoke and Kiki on the big screen...
