I thought they'd already decided on someone?
I know it was shortlisted to a few a while back...
One was Dougray Scott.. he wouldn't be bad.
or Julian McMahon was another option..although he's aussie and I think bond should be british or scottish.
Personally I thought Robbie Williams would make a great Bond!
although I'm not sure what his acting abilities are...

Although I'm not a Bond fan so really I don't care either way....
