dunno if a thread was ever started about this but I guess its good to keep things updated anyhows
last year, i had the opportunity to play Ragnarok, a MMPORPG (did I miss a letter?
) For three months, I was hooked on it....traveling from town, meeting people, going on mini solo quests and buying nice looking things for my Thief/Rogue
I heard it was based on drawings (which are awesome, if you go to the ragnorok main site, you'll see some great hand drawns of characters by class.....their weapons? *SWOONS* ) anyhow, I heard about the animation and decided to take a look and its great...most in part because I can relate to all of the series quirks and jargon. Everything that I loved doing in online game was in the anime, and all the characters are destinctly given air time to show off why their classes whoop "pouring" butt. One character even uses a blind fold to help her concentrate while fighting, a practice people used in the game to bring their Intelligence stat up to cast magic.
The animation is slick and I even can tell some of the music from game are playing in the background. The series itself revolves around Roan, a guy following the Merchant class and his freind who is a Healer class.
Catch the series if you havent, and try Ragnarok online for free...its worth it. The site sends you a free demo disc of it via mail if you send em your address.
