Yeah,
Gamespot gave it an 8.8, but like you said, without online play, it's kind of a moot point really. I mean some games can be great without online play, but it seems to me that a shooter just about has to be online to be great these days.
It's too bad that there aren't more games that can compete with SOCOM 2. I mean alot of them try to, but nobody has come close yet, IMHO.
