This is a rant...I just gotta get it out of my system or I'm gonna blow up.

I'm thinking why people have to be so stupid:

I've gotten back from my 1 day trip to the little Japanese supermarket I go to every month. There's a bookstore that sells Japanese books, music, DVDs, etc. and this is one of the best parts of coming here. There is also a toy hobby shop that sells all sorts of neat toys and figurines which I absolutely love to death. Unfortunately, they shut down. Here's where the annoying parts start: Every time I go to the bookstore, I always encounter stupid ignorant dumbasses...who are always young American teenagers. Now, before anyone gets on my case, I'm not saying all Americans are like this, but a good portion are...especially the young people. It's always these type of people who think they are so "cultural" and so "accepting" but in reality, they're just like everyone else who doesn't understand ANYTHING. When that toy hobby shop was open, they used to have that "Dance Dance Revolution" arcade machine...where it's popular only to the Western kids....just because it's "cool." Now it's gone. Today, I overheard a group of these kids (who visited this supermarket as a field trip) complaining about the disappearance of the machine. Actual quotes:

Guy: "Oh man! The "Dance Dance Revolution" machine is gone....what's the point of coming to this place now?"
Girl: "I know! That machine was sooo fun...and it's the best part of this place! Now there's only books." *sigh*

Ohh...so, what? Japanese books are what? Bizarre, strange, nonsense or something? Oh, what a typical reaction. And here's another (my favorite):

Guy 1: "Hey man, why don't you get this Japanese book?" *picks up a manga magazine*
Guy 2: *rolls eyes* "Why should I? I don't understand Japanese, so why should I spend my money on something ridiculous like that? GOD! The eyes are sooo big!"
*Both guys begin laughing their asses off*

Wow, how intelligent. Just shows how open-minded they are. And I can understand if they said "I don't have the money, so why I should I spend it on something I don't understand" but instead it's like "Oh, Japanese is just ridiculous, why should I spend my money on it?" Then why are you f*cking here? Sure, it's a field trip, but you don't have to f*cking come.

Then, here's another quote that I hear every friggin' month:

Girl/Guy 1: "Hey, hey [insert name]! They have "Ah! My Goddess" manga here!"
Girl/Guy 2: "Oh really? Cool! Omigod, they have "Love Hina"!"
*Reaches for the billingual manga*

*faints* What-oh-what is wrong with these stupid ass teens? Can they open their mind just like >this< much?!?! If it's not "Ah! My Goddess" or "Love Hina" it's always the following: (original versions, not billingual)

Trigun, Cardcaptor Sakura, and Chobits.

That's it. Out of the entire huge selection of manga, they reach for these. Oh and sometimes the billingual stuff, which gee...I think you can get in your local American bookstore...so why bother going to a friggin' Japanese bookstore to get billingual books? Can someone explain this? And it's always *these* type of kids...I have not seen one pair or group of American teenagers go in the bookstore and get something different.

Ahh...and then there's the food stuff...only thing these same kids get are:

*drumroll*

POCKY. That's it...POCKY. Just POCKY. Nothing else except for this biscuit cookie snack...oops and maybe a drink too...like Ramune. You know...because of the "cool" marble inside.

I give up.
