I don't know... I think the remake of
The Ring is a more refined product than the original, and shows a little more professional ability from actors and director etc... Also the screenplay is less dispersive and more pregnant and effetive from the point of view of the narration compared to the three (well in reality is four) movies of the
Ringu saga. It's true they added cheesy particulars that weren't part of the Japanese movies, but I didn't like the original. Not that I'm a fan of the remake either...
