How about bass solos from anyone?
The one that sticks out most in my head is probably Les Claypool on Primus' Those Damned Blue Collared Tweekers. The finger style beginning to it is so quick and clean and the whole thing is really creative, although kind of simple for Claypool standards.
The Woodstock '94 version is also really good . . . especially when he adds in his homage to Hendrix' rendition of The Star Spangled Banner.
And I agree with Faile on the Pumpkin's soloing on I am One. I've always loved that technique of dropping everything off to just bass and drums or one or the other (and Gish is one of my favourite albums of theirs).
