according to Amazon uk, there has been a Totoro release available since then. I think what they're doing, is aligning this version with the rest of the Ghibli titles they're releasing or released - standardising the Special Features, Box art and what have you. I think they're also making a new dub version of the film - Kiki's Delivery Service and Castle in the Sky were redubbed into English with new voice-casts, so I figure thats the main justification. But like all things, this doesn't effect Europe - the new version of the Dub is the only one we ever got, as most ghibli titles have never been sold here
