I like my handhelds to be gaming machines; not gadgets with gaming capabilities thrown in as a bonus. I mean, the PSP is really nice -- don't get me wrong -- but it just doesn't seem like it is a serious gaming device. While the DS' dual screens and 'stylus gaming' is indeed a gimmick, it's one that clearly sells. Also, the fact that the PSP's screen isn't protected, you'd better be ready to welcome it to scratch country! Futher more, I personally feel that the Nintendo DS has more tried-and-true franchises behind it and its success -- everyone knows Mario, and even Link and Samus to an extent. And Microsoft can't be interested in the DS; well, unless they want to lose more money than they already are by giving it to their rival company.
