When I used Style xp i had to go into the direct file directory of the specific skin/theme I was applying and find the icon with the paintbrush within it. Once I clicked that it asked me if I wanted to apply it, I did so, and it worked. Thats how my style xp X Box skin worked anyway. Hope that helped
