everyone has the power to stop racism yet its smallmindedness that allows it to continue to exist sadly. i'm not sure I've ever actually called anyone racist in this thread however ...

Yeah, sure, small mindedness contributes to blatant ignorant racism. But the racial problem as a whole is due to ALOT more than that. And not all of its just people being ignorant IMO. As for anyone being racist in THIS thread. No one has. It was just a clash between someone with a more sensative racial conscience and someone with a lesser sensative one. And then someone who is apperaently offended by sloppy typing and bad spelling . But its all good. I dont think anyone was offended here

And I sincerely apologize for continuing with the racial issue considering this thread has nothing to do with it. I just dont want to start a thread about it because It would probably be shut down or end up pissing someone off. Ill try and keep this short, but it may not be possible, read at your own risk.

Recently Ive coined a new term for myself. A while back I started a thread, or..well..someone started one and I posted within it that I was racist. And went on in great detail to explain to what extent I belived myself to be racist. However in my recent experiences ive changed my mind. Ive met some real, true ignorant racists. People who immediatly judged and indevidual or even insulted them simply because they were black/asian/Arab/whatever. I simply dont want to associate myself with those creatons in any way.

So to make a long broing story short, I did some serious thinking and decided. Im not racist in that sence, rather, im "Race aware". This may sound like a fancy term to mask racism, but its not. In being "Race Aware" I mean that im simply aware that there is larger precentage of minorities that commit crimes and what not than say with caucasions. This is certainly no reason to judge anyone for thier skin color. Rather, its a reasoning device that may result in stearing clear of areas that have a higher poulation of such minorities specificaly at night

You may not agree with it, but it makes sence. Its the reason soo many white people dont send thier kids to schools in wich there is a large minority population. And the reason we dont vacation in Harlem, and the reason why people arent exactly jumping to buy house's in black naighborhoods. You can call that racism if youd like, but I dont think it is at all. Its Race Awareness. Take yesterday for example. I decided I was going to walk up to the park by my house for the first time sence I was like 8 and shoot some hoops. I get there and there are about 150 black people in the park with some foul ass rap music blasting. 0 White people, 0 Asians, 0 anything else. Immediatly I started getting mean looks and what not. So I went to the court where a bunch of older black (Like 18,19,20)kids were playing and started shooting on an open hoop. And within minutes I was confronted . They said something to the effect of "Move White Boy", and "Did you hear what the fu*k I said white boy !?" . So I fired back, and luckily one of the older folks in the area notcied the confrontation before I got jumped.

So in closing I say this" Im not racist, but im aware that Im not safe as a lone white boy in a sea of blacks". Im not saying black people are bad. That would truly be ignorant. But Im aware of the racial tension that exists and of the contempt that many blacks have against whites. And for that reason I stear clear of areas largely populated by them. So....does that make me racist ? I hope not.

And and to get back on subject. Umm...is the egg STILL there ?!
