do EGM give out such scores? if yes, discount anything they say, because only an idiot (or worse... a mindless fanperson) would ever give a game a full ten out of ten. To say something gets full marks is to say that its perfect: no game is perfect, because if it is, it isn't for long.
8, 9 and 8.5 sound VERY respectable to me...
