I believe when I mentioned Al Pacino above, I left out a very very important Movie of his that I had actually not seen yet:
CArlito's Way:
This is a film noir. Most of it is told in a flashback that occurs in a single moment when the main character is faced by a mortal situation. Al plays a man named Carlito who has just been released from a long jail bid. He goes back to his old varrio and sees a lot of new things he doesn't like. His past catches up with him even though he tries to steer clear of it and in this movie is one of the biggest betrayals against the main character I've ever seen.
Max Payne has taken a lot of inspiration from the film noir genre and I think I can see some very likely direct inspirations from this particular movie.
I will talk about my fav actress, Salma Hayek, soon.
_RED_ stuff
